Hotmail forwarding not working

Postby Rod_J on Fri Dec 19, 2008 1:17 am

Hi,

First, thanks for this service, it's just what I was looking for.

My Hotmail was being forwarded to my Gmail account no problems since I joined up, until the last three nights.
The last three sessions have this message: "Could not log in. Maybe structure has changes or was not foreseen." I searched for this error message on this site but couldn't find any reference to it. After some research, I think this error message may be from the Hotmail server.

I can still access Hotmail from my Mailwasher email client and from Mozilla Firefox no problem, so I don't know what has changed. I have three emails waiting to be forwarded.

Any ideas what the problem might be? Is anybody else having similar problems just now?

Thanks for your help,
Rod.

Hello,

Sorry for the trouble you are having with your account. To fix this problem, do the following.

Log in to your hotmail account and you should see a message that reads:

You spoke, Hotmail listened
Over the past year, many of you told us that you wanted a cleaner, faster Hotmail. We released the new Hotmail to meet those needs, and now we're adding more improvements based on your feedback.

In this version, we've changed the way that scrolling works for users who have the reading pane turned off. It'll look more like Classic Hotmail if your reading pane is off.

Even more improvements are coming soon—we'll be moving the advertisement from the top of page to the side, adding more themes, increasing the number of messages on each page, and adding the ability to send instant messages from your inbox.

We appreciate all your feedback and want to thank you for using Windows Live Hotmail.

On the bottom of the page check "Don't show this page again", and hit submit. Once your Inbox has loaded up properly, you should be able to add your account to the site.

If you have any other problems, let me know.

Thank you
kkroo
